     The county has named our new principal!  Ms. Malinda Boland Cobb will be joining the Goshen family this fall as she moves from her current position as Assistant Principal at North Harlem Elementary School.  Ms. Cobb served Richmond County earlier in her career as a teacher for Murphy Middle School and T.W. Josey.  Prior to her years in Richmond, she worked in both Atlanta and Georgetown, South Carolina.

     Ms. Cobb also served as Richmond County's Teacher of the Year in 2004.  Prior to that time, she was a finalist for Fulton County Teacher of the Year and served as Georgetown County's Sallie Mae Teacher of the Year. In 2006 she was nominated as a Disney Teacher of the Year.

     Although Ms. Cobb's first love is education, her hobbies include gardening, reading, music and theater.  She resides in Augusta with her husband Michael.  Ms. Cobb says, "I am looking forward to joining the Goshen family and continuing our journey of excellence."  We look forward to having her with us.  If you would like to email Ms. Cobb, she can be reached at:  cobbma@boe.richmond.k12.ga.us
